How long mp3 players last?

I've had my Sansa e260 for about two years and I wonder how long MP3 Players normally? And when would be a good time to upgrade? Thanks in advance!

I've had a Sansa e280 for about two years. The time mp3 players usually lasts depends on the quality of the MP3 player itself and is the amount of use. My e280 has frozen on me and the volume is a bit complicated now, but can still be used. A good time to update it when the mp3 player encounters constant failure, has a broken screen, if the music can not be reproduce, or when it is completely useless. Hope this helps! = D
